The Illinois Eye Symposium on Inflammation and Infection, supported by the National Eye Institute and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, brings together researchers, clinicians and trainees for an engaging exploration of interdisciplinary advances in eye care research and innovation.
Hosted by the department of ophthalmology and visual sciences at UIC, this annual symposium will highlight the latest discoveries in the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying ocular inflammation, immunology and infectious diseases that affect vision and overall health.
The symposium will showcase emerging therapeutic targets, innovative intervention strategies and new scientific insights shaping the future of vision research. Attendees will have opportunities to explore novel approaches, learn from established and emerging experts across interdisciplinary fields and engage in discussions on emerging infections and evolving challenges in ocular health.
Presentations will feature cutting-edge methodologies and breakthrough findings in vision science. The event will also provide ample opportunities for intellectual exchange, networking, collaboration and recognition through presentation awards.
Location: The symposium will take place at the UIC College of Dentistry (5th floor, 801 S. Paulina St.) on Sept. 11 and at the College of Medicine (Irwin Auditorium, 1853 W. Polk St.) on Sept. 12 and 13.
