End of Semester Community Sessions
April 30
Noon-1 p.m.
On Zoom (with a watch party at the Disability Cultural Center)

Need a break?

We are all metabolizing a lot of change and uncertainty, and for those of us nearing the end of the semester, it’s an intense time.

You’re invited for the first of two end-of-semester community sessions!

Grounded, Gentle Seated Movement is an hourlong, body-positive, accessible movement session led by Rise of Riotous Roots.

This session will be conducted on Zoom, but if you’re on campus and you need a place to Zoom from, we’ll have it on in the DCC Lounge (BSB 235).

All are welcome (students, faculty/staff, community members). Come as you are.

COVID-19 safety (for anyone joining the Zoom from DCC): UIC does not require masking, but we are still masking in our spaces as an act of community care and an accessibility measure for chronically ill and immunocompromised people. Please wear a mask if it’s accessible to you. We’ll have extras on hand!

Access info: We will have CART captions for this session, and Rise’s practice centers accessibility and adaptation. Feel free to let us know about any access questions or concerns at dcc@uic.edu and we can pass them along to Rise!
