Digital Accessibility Training: Leveling-up Your Digital Accessibility in MS Office

As a “Part 2” of the Microsoft Office Digital Accessibility Training workshop series, we invited Julie Baker, assistant director of digital learning assessment, and Matt Childress, IT tech specialist and Zone 2 manager, from Applied Technologies for Learning in the Arts and Sciences (ATLAS) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to lead an intermediate-level session. They’ll share practical tips and techniques in both Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, including:

• How to customize and save accessible visual styles for default Word headings to create templates that maintain your preferred look and meet accessibility standards.
• How to design accessible PowerPoint template slides that streamline content creation while supporting all learners.

The goal is to go beyond the basics and help faculty and those who support faculty create more accessible course content.
