Creating biosketches for NSF and NIH using SciENcv

The National Institutes of Health and National Science Foundation both require Biosketches, which must be created using SciENcv in MyNCBI. Learn about the new NIH Common forms (effective Jan. 25, 2026): the Common form for Biosketches and the form for current and pending support.

This online workshop from the University Library will guide you through how to create and export your biosketch using SciENcv for NIH or NSF (and other agencies), how to update an ORCID iD from various sources (e.g. Scopus) and how to link your ORCID profile to your SciENcv, ideal for publications not in PubMed.
