It’s tempting to avoid the news in order to escape the sadness, anger and sense of hopelessness it can bring. There are times when setting a boundary around the news we absorb is adaptive, comforting and necessary to our ability to survive the tragedies that unfold in front of us each day. Finding the right balance between connecting to what’s happening in our world and protecting ourselves from overexposure is critical to staying afloat.

Join the UIC Counseling Center for an online conversation on how to find your balance between staying informed and emotionally protecting yourself.

This workshop is a part of the UIC Counseling Center’s Coping with Uncertainty Series.
