Are you curious about who is citing your work — or the work of your research team — and how those connections shape scholarly networks? Do you want to identify researchers at specific institutions who are referencing your department’s publications or explore patterns of collaboration in your field?

This online workshop from the University Library introduces VOSviewer and Bibioshiny, free tools that let researchers perform bibliometric analysis, visualize publication data (authors, keywords, citations, collaborations), explore research trends, map networks and more.

VOSviewer is an open-access tool developed by the Centre for Science and Technology Studies at Leiden University. Biblioshiny is a web-based tool built on the Bibliometrix R package. Participants will learn the fundamentals of bibliometrics, explore network visualization options available in Scopus and Web of Science and gain an overview of additional impact metrics.
