ARTIVISM: How Do We Create Safe & Loving Communities at UIC?

Create solidarity hand fans that will keep us cool this summer as we defend the rights of Chicago’s immigrant community. We will harness the power of art and storytelling to reinforce connections across movements and strengthen our “Sanctuary for All” commitments on campus and in the city.

Art supplies will be provided until they last.

UIC MANIFEST! is a yearlong collaborative art project to assert a bold vision for a more inclusive and just university. Funded by the Institute for Research on Race and Public Policy.

Co-sponsored by the Centers for Cultural Understanding and Social Change, Institute for Research on Race and Public Policy, Latin American & Latino Studies at UIC, Chancellor’s Committee on the Status of Latinos, the UIC Latin American Recruitment and Educational Services program and Sanctuary For All UIC.
