Art workshop with Ari Granados: Disabled Utopias

Date / Time

March 3, 2025

11:00 am - 12:30 pm

Join us for an arts workshop with Ariella Granados, a UIC alum and multimedia artist who uses performance, video, sound and creative direction to realize imaginative disabled utopias. We’ll make some art focused on projecting ourselves into imagined worlds.
Lunch will be provided.
Spots are limited. RSVP by Feb. 27.
This event is open to everyone.

Covid safety: UIC does not require masking, but we are still masking in our spaces as an accessibility measure for chronically ill/immunocompromised people. If it’s accessible to you, please wear a mask. We’ll have extras on hand. The lunches provided can easily be taken out, or we can arrange for you to eat in a separate space.

Access information: The Disability Cultural Center is located on the second floor and is accessible via elevator. We will have auto-captions. UIC is not a fragrance-free campus, but please refrain from wearing scents to maintain a low-fragrance environment. Let us know about any other access requests at dcc@uic.edu or 312-355-7050.

This workshop is funded by the University of Illinois Presidential Initiative: Expanding the Impact of the Arts and Humanities, as part of a larger project called Cripping the Arts.
